Your guide to Desroches
Desroches is a coral island, surrounded by luscious white sand beaches. It is isolated from the rest of the seychelles group and requires an additional internal flight from the international airport at Mahe.
The diving at Desroches is excellent for all skill levels, but is particularly suited to beginners due to the enclosed lagoon, offering safe diving environment and great visability.
Desroches Island Lodge Resort is the only hotel on the island,
Desroches is one of the Amirantes Islands, located approximately 250km south of Mahe. The island is just 5kms long but despite the small size Desroches Island has an amazing 14kms of beautiful beaches. The island has just one road and one resort, imaginatively called Desroches Island Resort.
A great variety of watersports are available for the active holidaymaker, although for other visitors the huge hammocks strung between swaying palms make for an altogether more pleasing option. A great spot to lay around watching the giant tortoises plod steadily past.
